_{This is probably a glitch problem, but my computer won't start up (I am on my mom's laptop) even though the power switch is on for this room. I can turn lights on, etc but the power button on the front of the computer simply doesn't work! I've tried switching the power switch on the back but that does nothing either.
Anyone have any ideas on this?}

Possibly a power supply gone bad
if its definately recieving juice and wont start
thats usualy the cause
about $30 buck at a comp store
