People complain about you cause you're a camper - it's pretty obvious with what you wrote above! XD
Nah stick to indy. I wish someone with 56k would explain how they effect the server. No secret that I wish if they ever update TT or do a TT2 they look long and hard at the requirements. Some will say its not fair to keep them out, but is it fair for my dsl to become a 56k modem? Is it fair for me to start bouncing into rocks and trees because the server "lag" just went up due to 56k modem or some tool running yahoo, skype, google, email, and listening to music? Lag is really starting to get old, fast.
Rx is right has more fun & less complains, But I find indy is more challenging.
About the campers and complaints, press ctrl I XD

I read this several times and I still cannot make light of what you're getting at. Just because someone with a 56k connection joins a game doesn't mean your connection becomes degraded. That's not how it works.
As for team scrum, yes, I've tried it, and it is fun. Yet oftentimes I it's difficult to join either of the teams without the server declaring one the red indy player. TT seems to be a bit temperamental with that one.
Scrum: wacky, hilarious, chaotic, fun - my favorite

I guess the admin is trying to balance the teams.
If not the dot count(color), Perhaps the ability of an individual player.

Its the quality of the information coming from the server that becomes degraded.
Really please tell me how it works then? So when a 56k player joins how does the server account for that? Does the server magically upgrade that 56k or does it downgrade itself to match the weakest connection? Can it split your information from mine? No, basically because everything in your scope has to be updated and similiar to the servers ( and all the rest) so the server has to send and recieve your information. As it waits for the 56k inforamation, so do we all. Everytime you skip the server just had to adjust itself and lost a lot of data and not just yours. Have you had a chance to change your settings, does it help.
Before this goes to a total flame war about, "Why 56Ker's should do something else" lets get one thing straight...
The defention of camping in TT (and please disagree or correct me) is when a person:
1) Sits at the goal for whilst the other players are killing one another for the scrum, then the camper steals and scores.
2) Siting BY or around the goal, such as a hill or on the side of the cliff, but not in the goal
As far as im consered the EULA says nothing about camping as cheating (not directed to anyone) there by it is a cheap tatic in whict players use to make goals, period. Now one more thing that some of you nubs are confused about is a "Freebee". If someone scores while all the other players where not on his 6 that might be consitered a freebee. If he's able to score a goal and not even come out of it smoking, while all the other players got bad spawns, most likey a freebee. If he scores while everyone is districted and shooting at the demo, BUT one player is still on his 6 but couldn't get that last bullet in. THAT IS NOT A FREEBEE FOR GOODNESS SAKES. It's a lack of shooting skills on the chasers end. Sorry, yelling out FB!11 while you where on his 6 for desent amont of time, and you missed everyshot. It's not a FB you just suck at shooting. Some of you confuse a FB with scoring a goal with ease or perhaps pulling a move over all the players heads. Hitting a bounce pad when the scrum is near it and making the goal is not a FB, someone with massive shooting skillz might have shot him out and the fact that there was a million players behind him makes it not a FB.
FB should be definde as a ease goal, but that is somewhat faulse.
A FB should be consitered scoring a goal while no one is around. Simple I don't know if you agree with what im saying but yelling out FB or camp when someone spawned or just scored a simple goal does not make it that (not always)
Disagreements, agreements, "WTF ICE"s?

PS im not touching the 56K topic... :)
Not going into the 56k topic either. Tired of trying to talk to stubborn people about it.
As for camping, I agree with ^. Camping is by parking your tank at/near the goal, setting up a camp fire, and roasting some smores while waiting for someone to bring the scrum to the goal. If it's your team bringing it, some might just consider you a "goal guarder". Is "goal guarding" and camping ok? In TS, yes, and believe me, there are many who excel at the sport of camping. Just because you might not be able to camp well or get around the camper doesn't make camping wrong. If you don't like the camping, go back to indy scrum or BM (although, camping might catch on in TBM if I can ever identify where the scrum is in TBM...) %)

I'm not going to point fingers here, but I have something to get off my chest. Some of the TT-folks - some obviously longer-standing members - seriously need to grow up and better pay attention on what is going on in the game. If you want to appear like whiny, bratty teenagers then so be it.
It just happens that some players are easy to blame another for something that does not go in their favor or something of which they simply don't grasp the situation.
Blaming others of camping seems to be one of the big favorites.
Scenario 1:
The scrum-carrier just happens to be near the goal and there happens to be a big clusterf*** of tanks right there. Oh, better not happen to be able to steal the scrum and then score! "Dude, you're such a camper!" Blah blah blah.
Scenario 2:
Tank got shot to scrap and it gets respawned on the opposite side of the playing field with the goal being roughly in the center in between one's own tank and the group hoping to steal the scrum from the carrier. Tank tries to rush back to the group to continue the brawl, which happens to lead right by or through the goal (maybe due to better vantage point). The scrum-carrier is driving backwards and one's tank very nicely rams him. Tank goes into reverse and scores. "Camp!!" Yahdie-yah-yah.
Scenario 3:
The group of tanks is nearing the goal. One's own tank gets eliminated. Tank happens to respawn on goal. Tank is able to steal the flag and score. "What a camper!" Well, this is getting old.
The one thing I have to say about that is if you don't pay attention to the radar and the current circumstanes just don't say anything instead of making a fool of yourself. You certainly won't be able to gain any respect from me that way.
In addition, I happen to be able to play only via 56k. You know, not everybody has the money or the right location to have a super-highspeed-dropyourjaw-connection. Keep that in mind before whining about someone else's lag. That especially goes to those teens who are very probably not footing their bills to access the internet. Yes, I know perfectly well that my connection hiccups every now and then, although for most of the time I have a rather good flow of data. Once again, this is more about others who need to complain about every little thing that goes against their liking.
