First off, get rid of the annoying music, rain thing, and backgrounds. Then there might be an improvment.

^ yeah my comp farted when the page loaded, and yes you should ditch the extra stuff. I dont see how its a replacement, its missing the communication. No messaging system. Thats what we use PTT for mostly.

Its nothing like this, at all. Try looking for free forums like phpbb. Freewebs is a piece of crap and doesnt require any skill to use (No matter how good YOU think it looks)

Not even close to PTT. And trust me, effects can't hide a lack of content. So no matter how shiny you make it, it's still not even number 2.

This is a good idea, but I'm afraid it is practically wasting you time. When times of PTT going down for awhile, most of us will tune into Garagegame forums, where the admins of this website will post about the problems. Also refrain from the language. Also, just ignore DJ. It's not like anything the kid says is very important :)

Yeah, work on the content instead of the flashy stuff. After all, something that just looks pretty won't help a lot. I mean, look at PTT. It doesn't bother with fancy Javascript/PHP stuff (someone who knows CSS could make a lookalike on Freewebs) and cuts down on media, but it has enough useful stuff to be a world standard in TT fansites. There aren't any big images, save the header at the top, but it's fine for all of us. And trust me, I had to do a view-source on your "bout TT" page in order to read it. My suggestion: Stick with one color and lose the background pics. It's not hard.
EDIT: @Racer, yeah, same here. CPU usage straight to 100% to load it. This didn't happen with my site, which loaded in 2 seconds- cache cleared.
