I used terminal as described in that post, and it worked fine for me. Really weirded me out at first, though. I haven't had sound in TT since the summer of '03
It works fine for me but I put it back as soon as I was told that it disabled OpenAL. I need OpenAL so I renamed the file and now I play thinktanks without bullets e.t.c until there is a proper fix.
