I've finally gotten my shit together and decided to re-install thinktanks. Before I download it though, id like to know how to save the map files I already have cause with my laggy computer it will take a long time for me to re-install them. I have a PC. Is there anything in peticular I have to do? Or, even though I will uninstall the one I have (which isnt working), wil the maps just stay?

I hope you washed your hands and did they stick good? :o

I think the maps will stay since ThinkTanks only has stock maps up to TT1_1 to TT3_4. I don't think it will recognize the "new" maps that were created with TGE. I'm not sure about this so wait until some people back me up here to see if I'm right or wrong.

If your worried about maps from the mod pack or maps you waited to load just copy your missions folder somewhere and then copy and paste all the contents of that folder into your newly installed missions directory..

@ Banana,

Before you re-install TT into your desktop, consider installing a Linux O/S. I have testimonials from TT players boasting a more stable, faster desktop than XP, and surely MAC 2.

I am currently testing out vectorlinux (www.vectorlinux.com) which is probably one of the fastest O/S systems in the market.

I play TT from Australia, and my fire rate is noticeably quicker than usual.

SK powered by a penguin!!!!

Linux = stability and reliability ALWAYS!!!!

What I would do, is save my entire TT folder on a disk, or a floppy if you can.... Then you have a portable folder wherever you go! Lol..
