@Bolo, Jangles and Hanksta

If you guys were to assemble a team of challengers -- just 3 -- who would you put on the team and expect to give you guys the best run for your money?

I'll take care of your first answer for you --

"Doesn't matter. We're the greatest and will crush anybody."

Now, seriously, what 3 players do you each think might make for a relatively close game?

Monday, August 09, 2004 at 3:52:49 PM

That's a tough call, Juice. There are so many gifted players out there, but whether they could gel together is another story. By far our biggest challenge was from Ben, LC50, and Dar. Ben and LC won the BM championship together and communicated with one another and Dar very well. Then again, Bolo was just a noob at that time and a rematch has never been confirmed to see how well they would fair now.

I honestly believe that you, Vash, and stink might make a formidable trio because you like each other and would be able to check your egos at the door and play as a complete unit. The only problem would be the shooting as we like to do a lot of it as often as we can and from the last time I checked, I haven't seen any of you duelling it out with the likes of FatLips, supra, Lep, TankOr, or any of the elite BMMers. Once the game slows down, you'll wish you had.

So, that leads me to believe that perhaps the newly-formed Yoko Squad might have a chance since they're shooters first and foremost with a new-found love for scrum and a familiarity with one another. If it's a big map, there will definitely be a lot of bloodshed and I foresee a close game. On the other hand, if it's a small map, they will most certainly be doomed by our UBER-PASSING and SCRUMMABILITY.

Well I have been working with a team for a long time! We gel really good together, but due to their schedule, unable to due challenge, so I have formed with another team just in case. We also gel, but little practice together! Hmmmmmmmm which team will show for challenge? I don't know !!! Just have to wait and see LOL

"Tally ho (billion times)"
Get over yourself already, dog. What scares you is the fact that you know that if I rolled with two people for as long as you and and jang and clown have rolled together, you'd get entirely too smoked. Enough already. I predict doom. Riding high on ad hoc challenges enforces paper tiger theory; eventually, jang's legs will get tired.
In my universe: 2 or 3 does not equal "billion."

@Jangles and Bolo

Come on guys, answer the question. Jangles came close (and thanks for the kudos), but picked existing teams. Bolo, you skirted the question, hyped yourself, and then took the easy way out by making a list of great players. You can do better than that Bolo.

This isn't rocket science and isn't going to be etched in stone. Pick any 3 current players, excluding yourselves, and assemble the best team for a Champs Challenge. I think it would be interesting to see what players, if teamed together, each of you think would provide the greatest challenge.

Maybe Hanksta can get it right the first time? Come on Hanky....bring it.

The team that I think could handle those three rather easily would be: Reagent X, Tally Ho and The Professor. The first two are obviously known as great scrummers and the third is probably the best overall player in the game.

Like a midget at a urinal, I was going to have to be on my toes.

Invite a retard to a picnic and you'd better expect to get drool in the potato salad.

Making a list of great players

FYI: that is a list of people who have all lost to the champs

Rogue:

Ho and X have already tried...but with mp instead of prof

@az:

We played a pickup game with you and ho and some other top player. Wasnt a challenge but was a game vs the champs.

@ stealth

Az and ho have tried b4. Just not with the 3rd player you mentioned.

@all:

I could come up with a few teams that might give us a run for our money if the luck was even or on their side. If you guys cant figure it out im not gonna tell.

Wednesday, August 11, 2004 at 10:21:27 AM

@Bolo
I also have not challenged the team. If you want to throw down... Meh!
Who have you really played 3 on 3 ?

I could not see you beating the Ho, Az & PREY...
Then again, with that many Bandits we would probably tie..

Wednesday, August 11, 2004 at 6:15:49 PM

Never say never, fro. There's always HO, Zorro (Ben) & Major Pain!

Wednesday, August 11, 2004 at 7:09:37 PM

Actually, I think that Duk, Fud and Carlos would give them a run for their money.

Like a midget at a urinal, I was going to have to be on my toes.

@44

We all know 3 on 3 is the game we enjoy. It can somewhat defeat the spawn and pits talent against talent. AND, in my books, is certainly the most entertaining. Nevertheless, you want us to name names of potential combinations that could possibly dethrone us. I COULD say Burnsie, Tally Ho, and Hoosane. Or perhaps Ben, DJ, and FP. But none of these guys have played with one another, and it's for that reason, THE CHAMPS will always prevail. Capitalizing on others mistakes and EGOS is equal to, but not less than, our prowess in SCRUMMABILITY. Familiarity breeds CHAMPIONS. Unfortunately, there's only 1 CHAMPS.
