Page : <1> :

Apparently TT will go out on Xbox Live soon. I wondered if
1- We'll be able to all play together - if we'll share the servers somehow as an option
2- If the XBox TTers will be directed to this forum.

In other words, will the PC/Linux/Mac TTers will live in an universe parrallel to the XBox TTers?

TT on XBox means LOTS of new players!

EDIT: I MEANT XBOX - THANKS GUYS.

PS2? I thought it was an XBox version they were working on? :o If they're making a PS2 version too, then that would be coolio! Actually I'd like to see a PSP version of TT2 come out eventually. Just imagine sitting in a Starbucks sipping a chai latte playing TT on a PSP on servers over WiFi! Woot!! Yeah, I know, it would prolly be sucky with lag, but I can dream can't I?

Xbox Live Arcade Users will be able to play online against each other, but they won't be able to play on the same servers as computer users. Which is good, because the auto locking reticle would give them a distinct advantage....

I have some wonderings about the XBox version:

Regarding the auto-lock mechanism, I was wondering, what happens when the targeted tank is moving? (Which is normally the case XD.) Compared to the computer based version, where you have to shoot some degrees ahead in the moving direction of the target; will the shots be like 'real' shots, meaning they hit the target instantly when you press fire (like in normal FPS games)? Or would it be more like, you press Left or Right Trigger to quickly target in on enemies, while manually aiming with the thumbstick to land the shots right?

Also I'm a bit worried, will I still be able to team kill in the XBox version? :o

Finally, my last question (and probably the most relevant one), will there be a way to play with mouse and keyboard in the XBox version, using for instance third party products such as these?!:

Magic Box XFPS

SmartJoy® FRAG for Xbox®

Anyhow, I will definitely buy all future ThinkTanks versions! It's the best there is.

I think that in TT2 there should be an auto lock BUTTON such as Right Click, or Scroll Wheel.

Friday, April 01, 2005 at 4:00:57 PM

Here is what it really is:
$149.99 Xbox System- two free games, two mounth free subscription
$4.99 Xbox Live Arcade- free Ms. Pac-Man game, anouther two mounth free subscription
$19.99 Think Tanks- game and maybe more!

Total cost for TT: $174.97 + tax

$69.99 Xbox Live Starter kit- 12 mounth subscription, head set, and Crimson Skies- great game A++
$19.99 Tony Hawk's Pro Skater- game (witch isn't that great)

Total cost for every thing you want: $264.95 + tax

Now that ant so bad is it.

I'm not sure what I'd think of an auto-lock function for the computer version. :o :)

TT + Xbox = good?
I dunno. To keep it fun you would need to start out with way more maps than he first one did, a better solo, and more tanks, and weapons to pick up. Also, content download will probably need to happen. With TT 1, when people got bored of the old maps, they made new ones. It is a bit more difficult to do that on a console. :)

Also, having the x-box community come here would be nice, but I think the site needs to be finished before it happens.

Auto-locking would make it to easy, taking the fun out of it.

Basicly on a xbox and all games have auto lock on on xbox etc now

Name a few. I would like to pick them up. (well, no I wouldn't, but I can't think of any games with auto-locking besides UT '04)
