It is not possible to use cheating scripts if you don't own the server,the clients just can't do it.

Since there are no moderators on CTF,DanMac or -z- could be the only ones using the cheats. But,of course,-z- is missing and DanMac would never do that.

Conclusion: No cheats were in the presence of the server when you were there.

Either way UF would never cheat, they are the most Respectable clan out there. Who would even think of them that way. If I might add my opinion, I think people just like comming up with dumb things like this becasue they hate losing to UF, it is not UF's fault you lose, they just have good people, good in skills and in mind. I would be shocked if any UF member ever cheated in anything.

I was playing opposite you w/ Grey friday night CTF and I seen you lagging out by a rock. It was like you couldn't move or something. Then you complained that someone was messing with the game. I can tell you this that I had no and have no ability to mess with a game like you are mentioning. I had no lag at all when I seen you experiencing it. Always like playin' with ya in CTF!

Cat - this is really stupid and kinda hurtful. Look at the UF members that are playing CTF - MOE, chief, grey, elfuego, lonewolf, au, myself. Do you honestly think we need a script to win? I bought TT BECAUSE of ctf. It was the only game I played for 6 months! I was asked to be in UF because of my ctf skills. So you attack a whole group of people and call them cheaters because you or someone else on the server is lagging or lagged out?

As far as I know dan mac has not given out an administrator passwords to anyone.

I've always enjoyed playing with or against you in ctf. Thanks for tainting that...

Ya know what was funny, I have a satillite internet connection (finally comfirmed that), and this other person had DSL. He was on a battlemode server with a bunch of the vets, and he was complaining about shooting delays and lag. I drove up to him, and he was just 'chopping' along... He was skipping (you know, like going forward then instantly moving back automaticly), and you can't play a game of battlemode like that. I mean, that's just horrible. So, if you're having problems with shooting delays in any server, get a satillite connection (Yes, it's expensive)!

This all sounds suspiciously like an incident from PS7. Many good responses, but Dash's in particular seem to address a lot of the same concerns Cat has. Apologies to Dash for lifting this out of a different thread, but it might be useful here.

These are excepts from whats being bandied about as proof of cheating with each point followed by my rebuttal. If someone has more proof please post it so I can dissect it.

No one has shown me these adjustments, how to do them, or proven they've been used by anyone. So show it or drop it.

To see if this was true I dug through the API,wrote scripts, and wasted a lot of time ending at the conclusion that even if I use the client-side API to send a bunch of click signals to the server I don't get any better fire because it is metered at the server. Again show it or drop it

Yeah, well then take your time It's important enough that I'm willing to listen. And if you have the time to make an accusation make sure you have the time to back it up.

This is incorrect. A light can take 11.8 units of damage. A light shoots bursts of 8 rounds(bullets). Each light bullet does 0.87 units of damage so 11.8/0.87 = 13.6. Since we all shoot bullets in integer quantities that means a light can kill a light with 14 bullets.

I think this stems from a perception vs reality situation. This person thinks it takes 16 rounds for a light to kill a light and it's actually 14. When really good players are gunning at each other 2 bullets is a big deal. Second If you are battling it out with someone and another player puts 1 or 2 rounds in your arse (simultaneously) it may not register on your computer as audio or video feedback but the server will record it. This causes a disconnect between your reality and that of the server. Even if I'm wrong here saying something and proving something are different things.

Again with the anecdotal evidence. Fire rates differ and I don't see any evidence given here that it is not a connection issue.

I've logged network packet data and console logs from several of the players in question, without their knowledge. They all look normal to me and I'm ashamed now that I even did it to them.

This is all personal and anecdotal evidence based on peoples perception of the game which is limited to the view provided by their graphic and audio feedback and makes no allowances for imperfections in the network, variation in hardware quality, and simultaneous projectile hits. If you take a hit and the packet that was supposed to tell you never gets to your computer, it just looks like you got ripped off. If the network was perfect and we all had bleeding edge hardware this issue would go away.

I'm accustomed, as I'm sure the rest of the community is, to placing the burden of proof on the accuser. I don't see anything in the proof provided which has any merit.

I don't care what anyone says... Software is code and code can always be manipulated.. There are no impossiblilities AT ALL on that front (no need for "proof! Proof! Proof!" stance it's just fact.) I'm sure there are cheats possible as much as I'm sure people have used it. Some people can try to stop making this sound like a frivolous and illogical thought because it isn't. It's code...

With all of the naysayers here Cat might be onto something lol! Pretty odd how people are saying it can't be done with such a fervor... I'm sure there are cheats that people use often when they are irritated at a player or simply don't want to lose. I've experienced a weird situ playing once where I was on a PTT server and they *** Moderated! CLOSE THIS TOPIC! NEXT TOPIC! ***

I've done this before, however, it is not a script....

Simply hold down for almost a full burst, about 6-7 bullets, then lay off the mouse while that last bullet is coming out, then reclick and hold another round. If you do it JUST RIGHT you will make it seem like you are shooting 16 bullets in 1 burst.

I got news for you bro - it's about ping rate and bandwidth. I have ALWAYS said that....in this forum as well as in-game.

If accusing people of cheating - without backing it up with proof (by the way - regarding "Deep Throat": in case you haven't figured it out yet, people will occasionally BULLSHIT you in life) - makes you feel better than so be it.
