Lol..of course.. But I never see you in team scrum games.
Top 5
Bolo
tally ho
hanky
jangles
reagent x
Not in that order...
Of course, it's impossible to compile a real list, as not everyone plays everyday.
Lol...you used a thread that is called "the fallacy of top 5 or top 10 lists" as an oppourtunity to insert your top 5. You may have missed the point. You did pick some good ones though.
I admit that I do enjoy a good top ten now and then, fully understanding that it is entirely SUBJECTIVE. Without a universally approved canon...a top whatever list is completely moot (if the desire is to take it seriously). If you just want to have fun and see what other poeple think...well, they're great.
No THAT'S FINAL GDI...er...I mean it IS opinion.
even with an 'elite list' there would still be a few that rose above the rest, i.e. 'the champs'.
my canon is the scoreboard after my arse is handed to me. :P
Lol evil...that works...and is hard to argue against. That being the canon...i would have to submit a top 30 or so list. XD

I've grown enough as a player to finally realize how silly (dopey) my player ranking lists were. While it is possible to distinguish the elite players from the very good players, there is no way possible to rank someone in the top 5, top 10 or even top 25. No way in the world because on any given day...shoot, in any given game....the names on such a list will change! I thought of this because in another thread on here right now, some of us are calling other players a "Top 5 player" or "Top 15 player". Well, while I respect the people making the evaluation, I find it totally unrealistic.
Here's an example of what I am trying to say: If you wanted to create a current top 10 team scrummers list, these are the names that more than likely would appear on MOST people's lists:
Baba
Bolo
Dar
DJ_Breaka
Fried Chicken/Ben
Hanksta_Tanskta
JamesBomb
Jangles
JJ
Kid
KillinBrainCells
KJ
Lilaliend (FU)
LoneWolf
Major Pain
Max CR
Memphis
MJ
Minnow
MonkeeMan
MysteryMan
Ohio (Daisy Dukes!)
Prey
Reagent X
Sniper
Spony
Tally Ho
TankGirl
Now, I propose that you can take ANY 10 names from this impressive list and create a respectable top 10 list! Any 10!
Would that list be solid as a rock and perfect? No way in hell. That's because there are so many factors that go into team scrum.
There is such a thing as chemistry and how each player plays with his teammates...how much luck do they get in a game....how good is their connection to the web....and so on. Also, no matter how great a player is, they have off nights. Yes, even the best of the best. So it is impossible to create such lists because it would change constantly...perpetually.
The ONLY kind of list one could create with any validity is an Elite list. A player either achieves this level of competitance or he doesn't.
Sure, they might perform below elite status on ocassion, but overall their level of play has proven to everyone in the community that they are one of the elites. It doesn't mean top 5 or top 10... Just a member of the elite group. On any given day (or game) any elite player can actually be the best in the game...at least for a moment.
