What!?? Minesweeper ROCKS!!NOT!!! Hehe.
What is with you guys? The game sales banner just shows the velocity of sales. The more you get in a week, the higher up on the list you get. This is not gloom and doom. We are still the top selling on garagegames, we are just not the fastest selling game at the moment. It has been well over a year and we are still on the board. Marble Blast just had a whole lot of news (shipping on iBooks) and gish (and bridge construction set by the same developers) is seeing a surge. Gish is a really good game and I am glad it is selling well.
Please stop with all the negativity. We are working on ThinkTanks for xbox (xarcade) and we have been doing a lot of contract work over the past many months so we could have money to really do justice to Thinktanks sequels.
We have not abandoned thinktanks.. We are not ignoring y'all.. We are not failing as a company. Please.. Cut us some slack.
Yah you punks have a little faith. Where's rabban?
Yo PokeMalo
I meant no disrespect man I know you guys are hard at work ! The only thing that bothers me is -Z- absents and no one to help Moderate or give others the chance to help here at PTT. We have top ppl (main ppl) leaving left and right due to all the crap that is going on here as of recent. I my self was out for 6 weeks due to a PC problem. Only to return and find ppl leaving and these ppl are ppl that have been here 4 a while. I fear what might become of PTT if this keeps up and -Z- doesn't return soon to help clean up things or to give more ppl the power to moderate. I have offered and am still willing to help in this area. One Concerned Lonewolf B)
Nice try PokeMalo, but it's back to Mine Sweeper for me.
...ahhh, no use. I'm back again.
Best thread on this subject: 44 is saying goodbye
This Nathan character seems envious of anyone involved in the game from the Bravetree folks to -z-. I wouldn't listen to anybody such as Nathan who probably hangs in his efficiency apartment all day eating a box of twinkies while sitting naked at his computer. I bet his screen name on Yahoo is thunderpantshotguy1234. I think we've all encountered this type online.
BT guys: This game has been a blast for me to play for roughly two years now. That's saying a lot considering I have the attention span of a kangaroo rat. I'd consider this putzes envy a compliment. This is easy to do when considering the thousand some odd hours this chump has probably spent making mods of your game.
When TT2 comes out I'll be one of the many to immediately purchase it. That is unless my wife hasn't already left me for said thunderpants1234 and his box of twinkies.
Like a midget at a urinal, I was going to have to be on my toes.
Invite a retard to a picnic and you'd better expect to get drool in the potato salad.
Yeah, we can't get in touch with -z- either. I don't have his phone mumber.. But I know where he lives.. And we are going to send one of our british friends there to knock on his door.
In terms of moderation.. We will see what we can do. I know that none of you actually see the threads and posts that get immediately deleted. I don't have time anymore to make funny edits, so I just nuke posts and threads when they are obviously noise. As for the annoying kids.. Well, it happens. It is much less a problem in ThinkTanks than it was in other multiplayer games I worked on.
We have more people now.. We are doing well.. We have thinktanks on our minds.. As a matter of fact, John Quigley, the person doing the xbox port.. Is dedicated 100% to ThinkTanks and will be for many more months. We are taking slow but deliberate steps toward improving the game. As a company, we have to be careful.. We are doing well, but we can't blow the next egg we built up by impulsively throwing all our enegry into thinktanks 100% and ignore the other opportunites we have right now that are helping grow the business and make us more stable.
And again, give us a break.. All the things people want.. Buddy lists, admin.. Registering names.. Doing it right is hard. We are not going to hacksomething in that will hurt us later and make it harder to do updates to the game. We have a long term strategy.. You will either stop playing and never come back for ThinkTanks 2.. Or, when it releases, you will come check it out. We would like you too.. As we do value the community, but as a young game company, we need to do what we need to do to stay solvent.
I will talk to dan and mark and see what we can do about making some more moderators here to cut down on the noise.
I tried marble blast but icouldnt find the trigger and no modding pleez.

Remember that TT is going to go on Xbox Arcade? I think that will make up for the sales losses.
OK everyone ask all of ur friends if they can buy the game ask a lot of ur friends then we might go back up to 2nd or 1st All TTers plz ask ur friends if they will buy TT show them the game and see if they like it
@ PokeMalo
Ty for answering me. I understand about be new and taking baby steps, I have been trying now since 5-31-04 to start my own co. So I know what your talking about its no easy task. I am willing to help here if you need it to police PTT. Take care and hope to see TT2 soon. B)

@Pokemalo- thanks once again for your responses. I think there was only one individual on this thread actually being negative (you know who I mean) Some people seem to think market share and sales are the end all be all of a business, or in this case, a game. (Windows users) But some of us know it's not how much market share you have, but the quality and enjoyment of the product that matters. (Mac users) Considering that, ThinkTanks is a resounding winner,
The main reason I don't play much anymore is because of lack of time. I'm certain however, that when TT2 comes along I will somehow find the time t play. :)
As for the forums, well, you already know the story on that. -z-'s absence is beginning to show ill effects here. Thanks for still moderating though. I know you must be busy so it's greatly appreciated that you still find the time to do it.

I can't even express how humorous this is to me right now.. LOL
Ooops dropped my twinkie..
ROGUE Great sense of humor. This is probably the best way to handle this sort of unsubstantiated bucket of horse shit..
Nathan, I think you mixed up the clearasil and anusol. Everything shound like crap right now... Switch back the bottles..

@Poko
Any way you could make TT for PS2?? Thats what I have, it could be the best game at PS2 online!!!
ive also heard a rumor that TT2 is almost out....true or false?
-scotty
ThinkTanks is not on the macs OEM because Apple did not want to get into the whole 'war' thing given the elections, Iraq, terrorism, etc...
No pland for PS2.. Yet.. Thinktanks 2 is not close, but we are working on blocking out a big chunk of time to work on it. Right now, we are working on ThinkTanks x-arcade, a game called BoomBall, a racing game (there may be a racing mode in thinktanks2) and miscellaneous contract work, as well as content packs for the Torque Game Engine. We are aslo working on some core technology for the Torque Game Engine (the component system) which will make it easier for us to stay closer to the TGE tech and use more of the engine features that are getting added. Additionally, the x-box port of thinktanks introduces gamepad support and advanced shaders.. So thinktanks 2 may have a shaderized extreme-fx version for those with the latest and greatest cards. We are also working on getting new tanks in.. 3 more cool tank designs and models for a total of 6, plus a few new game types we are considering.. More info on that when we get closer to seeing if they are any fun.
Hacking up silly scripts like my codes, terrains, mods and all you other modders stuff for that matter is just not the same as what these guys do. I'm not a game programmer and I know my stuff is poor in terms of code quality and extensibility and I can't even see the games "Big Picture", which is in binary.
Things have to be done within the context of the whole program and you can't even argue reasonably about how long something should take without having, reading, and understanding the program source code as a whole.
They can't just pile features on like slapping glue and paper on a pinata or the whole thing will become brittle and break. Companies that put the number of new features before stability and extensibility end up shipping crap. I'd rather not buy crap even at the bargain price of $20.
@ poko
SWEET! Hope you all get a PS2 planned...TT2 sounds great! Anyway you could make TGE be able to plug into TT so that we could have the terrain builder be part of modwiz? Just a suggestion

Mmmmmm. Now I'm drooling.

Dun Dun Dunnnn....
Well, I was hoping it wouldn't come to this, but Garagegames has recently declared ThinkTanks the 4th best selling game on the site, being beaten by GISH and Bridge Construction. That's brutal.
Now lets just pray that it doesn't fall right off the list.
