Actually, I think it's a general lack of interest in TT. I think we've all noticed a slow down and the community seems to be getting smaller. Some sensitive issues, race for example, aren't that great to talk about here because there are some, like a certain black bird that posts here, who use it as a means to proport their cowardly bigotry.
P.S. You might consider asking T.
Like a midget at a urinal, I was going to have to be on my toes.
Invite a retard to a picnic and you'd better expect to get drool in the potato salad.

Rosa who? I doubt I have missed anything. Why the hell you choosed Rosa when you could have said Captain Jack have passed away. Riots in France that pissed me away.
You don't have to let go of one rope before grabbing the other. But you'll have to let go of one if you want to swing forward.
Good point, Rabban.
I considered posting on both of those topics. I also didn't, because I didn't have time to put something worthwhile together...
^^ At least Google and find out who Rosa Parks is Triv.

Geeeeeeeez,
I am almost hesitant to post on this topic, but we all know the world is pretty much going to hell in a hand basket. All this has been prophcied a couple thousand years ago, and to some I'm sure it's really not suprising. Matthew 24:1-13 pretty much tells what we live in today, one verse says the love of many shall wax cold. If your over 45 have you noticed a change in the way people act, talk to each other, and general attitude in the last decade or two? I have always felt like TT was a place of escape. I mean, c'mon it's a cartoon tank game, were not settling any world crisis in there. We have to live 80 hrs a week in the real world, in addition to kids family bills ect....Rosa Parks made a stand and changed the world. It's good to see she is remembered for the sacrifices that she had to make in the aftermath of riding up front in that bus.
Great Post Rabban

^ Took the words right out of my mouth! This site wasn't originally meant for politics. Who cares, everyones a crook in my book. I work six days a week and have three beautiful children and when I get home late at night I like to curl up arond the computer and KICK SOME ARSE!!
@ Rabban,
This morning listening to the news on thje way to work I have learned that there was a mini tornado in the outback of New South Wales. This morning was the first time I have had the chance to listen to the news for a while. I leave home at 7.30 am and I will be lucky if I come back before 8.30 pm.
When I finally get home I eat dinner, and watch Drew Carey Show to relieve myself of a long day. Finally after doing my chores, and catching up on work that I have brought home with me, or replying to e-mails/ reading mail it is rather late here. Then I sit infront of my PC, and spend hours trying to configure Linux.
Somewhere around midnight I play a quick game of TT before putting myself to sleep, otherwise like it's been over the last fortnight, I pack my belongings cause I might have to travel insterstate.
I wish I had time to see the news and find out what is happening both in Australia, and around the world, however there is a priority for everything in life. Unfortunately the news is not one of them. I tend to tape the Business News of an evening, and play it on my DVD player on my drive to work. That's about as close I get to listening to the news.

PS:- Now that I have read this thread I am curious to know what the hell they were rioting in France about, and also who the hell is Rosa Parks!!
Go here for a little background. Basically, she was a gutsy lady who took a stand and made a difference. She was a catalyst for change.
On December 1, 1955, in Montgomery, Alabama, Rosa Parks was arrested for disregarding an order to surrender her bus seat to a white passenger. Her protest galvanized a growing movement to desegregate public transportation and marked a historic turning point in the African American battle for civil rights.
In cynical terms, she convinced white people in the American south to stop taking the bus.

@ IM,
This story reminds of another important lady whom passed away. I remember when Mother Theresa passed away her death was overshadowed by the death of Princess Diana. Even though Mother Theresa most probably did more more human society, than Princess Di, I supposed it was her young, and unexpected death that touched peoples life moreso.
There are alot of people whom pass away each year who's work never gets the attention. People whom unselfishly donate their time for charities, causes, and other miscellaneous stuff. Maybe there we should spend one day each year remembering those who make the world go around, and never get noticed!!!
Food for thought...

Talked about her witness for all Saints Day, does that count?
I must agree with KKB and red seal, she was an amazing person, lived a great life, and she changed the worlds look on racisim. But now, look at us, we are on TT, there is no skin color, race, religion, sexuality, sex type! There is nothing, just tanks and what everyone says they are, so why bother? I play this game, and talk to the people on IM from all over the world, and do I care what they look like, or believe in? No, I could care less...and on think tanks? Phhh screw what you think is right or wrong, I'm here to hand your ass to you, and nothing more! B)

On the topic of what people don't say..
...has anyone noticed how orwellian the world seems to be becoming...
...in that people are scared to say what they think in fear of being called a terrorist or a racist or sexist.
I do agree that their will always be nutters 'out there' who need an eye kept on them, but I don't agree in all this stopping of free-speech and curtailing of human rights just in the pursuit of "terrorism"... Surely someone opressing your right to free-speech (and inevitably thought) is indoctrination and is against all that 'we' as a society are trying to represent.
I mean... I can only speak for the uk in this, but I find it's becoming a nanny-state where people are told what they CAN do rather than what they can't.
Freedom? Where?

Lately I've been a little stuck by what we haven't been talking about. Rosa Parks passed away and we speak of operating systems. They're rioting in France and we list our favorite movie quotes. Sure, we're still thanking the Democrats, but I can't but think we're either losing our edge or our nerve (especially when it comes to racial issues).
