Hiya all,
I just found this site that includes a huge number of Macintosh commercials, promotionals, and even a number of spoofs. In addition there are a small variety of interesting and/or odd non-mac related clips. They are served very quickly (at least here on the east coast) and they pretty much all play in real time....

Have fun...

Good stuff. I've seen that bear fight clip some time back, and nearly died laughing when I did! Totally caught me off guard! :P

Baklava!!!!
You think I go into tirades about religion..... Don't tempt me into a flame war about Macs vs PC....
You will learn what the term Scorched Earth really means....

Cool! Great link!

Scorched Earth? Wasn't that game for DOS only? :P We haven't had a good Mac vs PC war for awhile. Kind of surprising considering how much these forums like to debate religion! "In the name of Jobs, and to the Apple, and to the iTunes iPod...Amen!"

Heh, I think my favorite Mac commercial was the advertisement of the Intel Pentium chip flying through the computer and landing into its slot. It was done on a Mac with Final Cut Pro.

Scorched earth? Never heard of it.

I'm just messin with you. I dont know enough about computers to go into a war. I just know my PC never gave me trouble and it works fine.
truth be told, I have seen only one Mac computer in my life. You dont find many where I live.

Ok Baklava.....
I have ordered the invasion troops to stand down and I've recalled the long range bombers....

Hmm.... I swear that Honda Cog ad was made for the Odyssey. That's really weird.

I absolutely LOVE Will farrell's apple ad's though. The other one he did w/ the parfait was great as well.

What? Get those invasion troops back online! Didn't you hear him? There are practically NO Macs over there! Surely the region is being repressed by a cruel totalitarian government. We must liberate them by bombing the living hell out of them and then conducting a full-scale assault! Is this necessary? Hell yes! I've heard they may even be producing Windows of Mass Destruction!

. :P

I guess it wouldnt help if I told you one of my friends didnt know there was a difference between pc's and macs. He thought apple was just another brand of pc.

But then again, why would so many more people prefer pc's? They must be better.

LOL! Let the Holy War begin! Baklava, if your logic was true, then that means everyone buys Toyotas and Fords because they are so much better than a Lexus, BMW, or Mercedes. PRICE. That is why PCs are more popular. Mom and Dad can get little Johnny a full-up system for $400. It's only WORTH $400, though. This bottom-line is why businesses and schools are predominantly PCs, and people in turn buy what they use at school or work. Apple has too much pride to release a 3rd-rate $500 system, but I wish they would. Even their eMac has more umph than what most schools need. It's infuriating, because PCs have the hidden cost of excessive tech-support due to the wave of viruses, security leaks, and the fact that Windows is just buggy. Don't beleive me? Many businesses are switching to Linux because that is even CHEAPER, even though the tech support required will be even HIGHER than Windows. (LInux ain't exactly your plug&play system).

Short term bottom-line. That is what many short-sighted businesses bas all their decisions on. Its also why the dot-com crash was so devastating.

Guess I should've added a smiley after that last bit. Oh well.
If I was given proof that Mac's are better, first hand proof, I might change my views. However, with my family's lack of money and never using anything different then a pc, chances are I won't be getting a mac.

And I Realize the most sold doesnt equal quality.

Dang, this war fizzled out in a hurry. Are Mac and PC users living in peace now? Ah well, guess I can deal with that.
@Bolo: heh, like the Lexus comment. Yah, I know. Now that Microsoft has a foothold, organizations may PCs just because it is the only thing that has the software they need.
Seriously, the whole Mac/Windows/Linux thing IS just a holy war of preferences. If Apple was bigger than Microsoft, then they would be considered the bad guys for their closed architecture and bundled software. Personally, I think the Palm/PPC/Symbian is a much more interesting battle these days.
@baklava: I knew you were just kidding around, but I'm still going to take it as an oppurtunity to beat my chest! ;)
