I want to apologize to you, my friend, for even implying that you could be Anonymous. I was just trying to say that if Anonymous was from the UK then the best scrummer we know of from that region of the globe was Pest. I think stinkfingers is from the UK too, but as we all know, he and Anonymous have a long-standing love-hate relationship going on, so it couldn't possibly be him (unless he has pulled off the world's greatest con job in history).

I'm not sure why everyone seems convinced that anon is actually another well known scrummer/TT'er in disguise? Isn't it possible he is just a unique player that decided to take on an anonymous name and happens to be a good at scrum?

From past hints from J and TH, that seems to be closer to the truth. Maybe I'm wrong though.

You might be right. I tend to think that is the case more and more as time goes by and I witness his behavior and the way he communicates in TT and on here.

By the way, last night I had the lovely pleasure of being insulted non-stop by Anonymous! I used my name Paisano for a change and he shouted PAISANO! He was called Madeleine (Bot) so I didn't know who it was. He then introduced himself as anonymous and started ripping me a new one for all the stuff I've posted on here about him! He said even his two year old has more sense than my posts do. It's sad to think that this kind of person is a father! The poor kid is in deep doo doo for sure with that role model.

Anyway, anon proceeded to challenge me to a one on one sometime. He predicted that he would kill me 13 to 2 with my only goals being freebies. What he didn't know was that I've already beaten him many times over (he is not the only one who uses many aliases, ha ha ha).

Still, it's depressing knowing that this parasite is lurking about. I wish there was a way to get rid of such malicious forms of existence that serve no purpose other than to make people feel bad. Was it a bad childhood that created this monster or just bad chemistry (as TG would say)?

Paisano....oi! I'm not from the uk! I'm a full blooded 'merican. (who lives in japan...currently vacationing in the the u.s. Of a.) as I've said, I want to like this guy cause he's funny as hell at times. Other times, he just seems deranged, sadistic, racist...

Curious...why do you all think he's a good scrummer? He's better than average. That's it. And he is utterly devoid of even a vestige of credibility....plays under other's names, brags when he manages a win, skulks off quietly when he gets trounced. He's a drama queen, and his histrionics are tiresome.

As for everyone's perception of Anon being a good scrummer, you have to realize that he only reveals himself after a good performance!
Thus, the impression is that he always wins, which every good scrummer knows is impossible (unless you're hanky, of course)!

@Pais: Just an FYI, if a member doesn't fill out the profile it defaults to UK. There are many members who's profile say UK, even though they aren't.

I just came up with solid proof that anon is NOT TG!!!!
With all due respect to TankGirl (whom I consider one of the elite best, sorry Bolo), There is no way that she could be anon because she does not battlemode anywhere near as well as he does. She has improved greatly when it comes to shooting, but anon is deadly. Plus, TG's personality is nothing like anon's!

I understand what you mean, but are you telling me that someone would purposefully alter the way they shoot in an effort to be less effective merely to remain in character? I highly doubt it. I mean, eventually, the person would say screw this and start playing as good as they could play!
For example, TG would have shown signs of tremendous change in her battlemoding skills if she were in fact Anon, who also cannot drive backwards nearly as well as TG! So that would mean TG would reduce her backward driving skills while under the cloak of Anon too.
That's alot to remember if you ask me.

Not in anyway implying that anon is TG, but I thought Anon was a girl from the first time I encountered her online. She always uses Fem aliases... Like Tank Skank, Tank Queen, Princess Monoke, etc. No reason to assume anon is a guy.

Coincidentally, Anon and I played together last night. I believe it was the first time that I have played with him.

How do you know it was him? Is he identifying himself these days up front, or only at the end of the game?

I wonder if I've played against him or not (when I was playing)? Who knows.

I noticed that the real Anon spells his name in all caps...always.... While imposters spell it lowercase.....

I sent Anon an email the other day asking him why he acts the way he does and trying to find out more info about him. To my surprise, he replied with a verbose and informative email. I have come to the conclusion that he is impostered WAY more than we know about, and many of the degenerate aliases that we all think are Anon are actually NOT.

Anon is a surprisingly articulate and intelligent person and although he has an "dark" side that actually likes to get under peoples skin a bit, he is NOWHERE near the monster that I (we) thought (think) he was (is).

So to answer your question, when he entered the game last night, we chatted about the contents of his email, that is how I know it was him.

I know for a fact that he is trying (in his own way) to be a better member of the community. I think we need to try to give him a chance and deal with him in present time, not based on his past with us. He will decide how he wants to be treated here by how he treats us.

Talk about a paradigm shift in my world eh?

I popped in on one of their games last night and saw them playing together nicely. (Actually, TG was just watching).

I must have walked into one of NASA'a experimental parallel universe generators. If I understand correctly, we have night shifter asking religious topics, an abundance of trolls in PTT, and anonymous turns out to be a respectable guy? Excuse me, I need to chase a bunch of flying pigs out of my cubicle!

Well, if that be true, cool. I could do with one less troll. I've noticed that he is actually entering games as Anonymous. I had assumed it was an impostor since he had never done that in the past.

@TG- thanks for the info. It doesn't surprise me one bit that the real Anon has been impostored countless times by morons. I think what happened was when he first appeared on the scene at the GG forums and then here, he came across as being very abrasive and nasty. He instantly created an infamous legend here in the TT community. Since then, anyone that felt like being a jerk co-opted his persona to hide behind. That's my guess anyway.

It would be nice if he stuck with a single name, so he can build up a better reputation here going forward, but it's ultimately his choice, not ours.

Anyway, glad to know he's trying to be a better member of the community.

Uh....Vash you must have been really drunk off that Nyquil. I did not play last night. The sad thing is how excited you get beating some poser and dreaming that it was me, and I sit here chuckling that you probably beat some newbie. Fact is you rarely beat me in a game, and on the rare occasion you do win it is by one maybe two goals (freebies are a second rate players friend). So whoever you beat last night must have left TT for good thanks to your supreme scrum skills and your surreal talent. RLMAOROTFL.

My suggestion is to stick to playing DEMOS and continue that sweet unbeaten streak you got going.

Hey maybe you can find someone named DEMO (Anon) and beat them 23 to 1 and come in here and brag some more about nothing.
