Thanks BC I will have to look into that on my Linksys.
Speaking of routers, wonder if anyone has one of these ?
Game mode is a port forwarding or port passthru mode
It allows the port configuration ot many popular games to pass the
NAT firewall. By opening it you generally open about twenty ports
to have unhindered access to your OS
Any security for those ports are then handled by your OS and /or
Security software ie. Firewalls and Antivirus
An example of the games allowed by toggleing this on include Doom
World of Warcraft etc. Check your manual or the online reference guide
specific to your router to get the skinny on which ports it opens by default
and how to add or restrict the ones you wish
I suspect that that is why no one can use the Join Game Script
to my server - as I have set limited access only
Peer to peer is not allowed but the master server is
^That wouldn't matter. The master server simply gives the game the IP and port to connect to, more of an automated IP Joiner. The only reasons for that to happen are that people use the wrong IP or Port.
Nope Art
Thats not true
Correct IP and Correct port still wont get you in on my setup
If you'd like I'll email them to you and you can try for yourself

I discovered today that my D-Link DI-524 modem/router had a preference called Gaming Mode buried in the Tools/Misc section.
From the manual:
Gaming Mode
If you are experiencing difficulties when playing online games or even certain applications that use voice data, you may need to enable Gaming Mode for these applications to work correctly. When not playing games or using these voice applications, it is recommended that Gaming Mode is disabled.
If I don't have Gaming Mode enabled I can only see the one server on my LAN that is at port 28000. In order to see and be able to join my other servers (at 28001, 28002, etc) I have to enable the Gaming Mode. This makes me wonder if enabling the Gaming Mode (or other similar such settings on other modem/routers) can improve TT performance.
