What the f___k is going on with this forum?

There was a time when TT players would get together and talk about TT.

Now we have people posting garbage left and right.

Is this crap really necessary?

No wonder Foulplay left to Halo?

I found some of Sakilrif post on garage games.com more amusing than the bull people is posting here.

Remember folks this forum was created by Z for the game called Think Tanks, not for people to ridicule or diminish one and other.

While I see your point of view, I don't believe that all threads should be erased from the forums, remember that there are some threads that have helped define the history of this game, and threads like those should be preserved so we don't lose a part of the TT history.

That is true, but you can agree that 50%+ of the threads in general are just spam and religous threads cant you? Well I think most (not all) of those should be deleted.

I can't argue with logic. I don't think that those two topics (spamming and religion) have a place in these forums. I know that my following comments are going to annoy a few people, but hey its the truth. Religion is most probably one of the greatest evils of our society. As a result of religion, the following crimes have been committed:- paedophilia, money laundering, wars, extortion... Need I go on. Its a shame that religion, something so pure, could be used by human society as a tool to exploit society. I am not here saying that religion is evil, rather than the people who use it for evil reasons (priests, church organizations, governments etc).

I agree it seems to be a lot. I think the moderators should do some spring cleaning and get ride of the threads that are at least 2 months old and have no relanvance to TT (besides people who play)

I think there needs to be more moderators, from what I can tell there are only 3 and when those 3 arent on all that often......_{DA CLEANER happens} ....So some regulars should be appointed moderators IMO, one active player for each forum.....probably the most active of each forum should... I dunno, just a suggestion.

"Spring cleaning" may not be a bad idea at all. Except who decides which threads get deleted and which don't? That could get very hairy, and I doubt -z- wants to spend the time sifting through them.

If anything, old threads should get archived off into another section, so if any still wants to look at them they can. Obviously no new threads should be allowed in this section. They could start by moving out any threads which are locked, and go from there.

We are listening.. I personally don't like to be the forum nazi.. In the spirit of community, I like to let the community do whatever they want whereever they congregate... If the majority are in favor of the moderators being a lot more agressive on the thread deletion, speak up.. Perhaps ww will start being a little more proactive.

Fast forward to the end of the debate: There must be some separation within a community. That isn't forum nazi. Many have approved of and enjoyed the work of the sheepdogs here.

Also, the majority want the malicious demos in their own house, and malicious players unable to enter all houses, I think.

Last I checked, nobody is forced to enter a thread they aren't interested in. It IS annoying if they mislabel the thread or use a misleading title, though. In any case, except for modding, there isn't a whole lot else to talk about directly pertaining to ThinkTanks that isn't already covered in the Tactics or League section. Wankers antics? Done it. Scrum etiquette? Done it. Wish list for the next version? Done it. Etc. Etc.

So, we talk about God, wether he exists, if he loves lesbians as much as StinkFingers, and what do we have to sacrifice to get halfway decent spawns for once! It won't be long until we start comparing the ratio of shoe-sizes versus bra and underwear sizes at this rate. Once BraveTree posts an update with new features, we'll have something TT-related to jabber about.

As I understand it, Hanksta wants to know where the serious gamers are, and why aren't they talking about serious gaming in the forums. He's probably also sick of all the character-flaming that has been going on lately. I think we're just a little bit bored until the next update comes out (with some NEW MAPS for Pete's sakes!)

OK, OK. Honestly, I wear a size 10 or 11, depending on the shoe.

Even though I don't much like battling 20 some people in any particular thread, I do find the controversial topics more interesting. Unfortunately it seems that people identify me with whatever Christian stereotype or jerk personality they've encountered in the past, so I have to carry the weight of that plus try to present my postion as how I see it and not how they think I see it.

Still, if we could discuss topics without them turning into personal and sensationalized attacks, I think pretty much any topic is cool.

Oh, and I'm not a Nazi. Harkonnen, yes, but not a Nazi. XD

For those of you that havent been over to the modding forum lately, it is quite frankly turning into a pile of poopy _{hehe, poopy} so that is the oly reason I would really like a mderator, and also one or two over here....well if there is another outbreak like "DA CLEANER". So thats why I ask for better moderation by the curent mods/admins, or there should be new ones appointed to help out.

Rabban, what's a wingwang....? And yeah, you and van seem to get stereotyped...and it is unjust....both of you put lots of thought into your position, and you've got my respect...for what little that might be worth.

There are a lot of threads here that are just spam and should be deleted but I think we should be able to talk about topics other than TT. Just tlaking about one thing all the time gets kinda boring.

Sorry, I started poking fun.

I think what Hanky was trying to say is that the forums have gotten noisy. The General Forum is overwhelmed with too much discussion on too many things in one place. Is the noise wrong? Yes, because it is burying discussion about playing times and games, like the game discussions that used to go on in the Garage Games forum.

I do not think discussion of off-game topics is wrong. But if you want to discuss God and other off-game topics, then go there. If you want games and game times, go to another place. It just needs to be sorted.

Of course, there are other reasons why discussing playing times, etc is impractical... There is much more that I would like to say. *Biting my tongue*

Yeah we do need to have a new topics and old topics page. And I think z is dead. I havent seen him in a long time and he hasnt done anything about our request about some of these assholes and old topics...

I'm speaking down... I think people should be free to express themselves as they see fit. We are a community of online gamers gathered here in these forums with one thing in common... Think Tanks... There is no such thing as a perfect world, we have to accept the good with the bad and vise versa. If someone gets out of line, and starts cussing people out and threaten them, well that's one thing. But if someone wants to talk about something other than think tanks, well this is a general discussion board! Whereas most conversations are TT related, one can't expect all of them to be...

Just my opinion...
