Hmmm... Finaly, a flaw. Crap.
Pardon my rudeness, I cannot abide useless people.
Commercial = gay.
1st to green = BS.
These are both opinions- which can be determined by the TOTAL lack of evidence or information, other than a spoof ad, and a crudely made dial. If this is actually something, I would like to have factual information from many different sources, instead of unproven opinions by one site.
This perhaps sheds a little more light on things... But still- only statements, no actual statistics. If more organizations came to this conclusion, sure... Perhaps there's something, but not from this.
Seriously guys... This is just made by a few guys who are into mac-bashing. Tomorrow it'll be Nintendo...

Greenpeace's information cannot be taken as face value when you consider their earlier published harsly exaggerated information on topics such as how fast species are dying. Thought I would say the information is likely to be guiding. I am not surprised thought, because for me Apple has seem mass producing always few choosen products at the same time in aim to get the best results... Just look the iPod history. They have eliminated the older versions from production when a new version is released. Mini died when Nano came(?) and now 1G Nano died as 2G was published.
You don't have to let go of one rope before grabbing the other. But you'll have to let go of one if you want to swing forward.
@Hugo
I'm with you - this is disappointing. I'm a Mac use and shareholder, so I want them to be eco leaders too. I guess it's time to write them a letter about this.
@ Triv- Yea... I guess you could say they 'died' at Apple's official site... But old stuff in the Mac cycle never really dies. If you look at the junkies' forums, people are all over tricking out their old clamshells and such... XD just makes you almost want to cry, but it contradicts your statement a little.

I can see what you're getting at... But that goes with just about everything in the electronic world, at least to some degree. Example- Nintendo. Most certainly they aren't producing the old school Nintendos and Super Nintendos anymore, I'm pretty sure they're not making any more GameBoy Colors, and I can make a good guess they stopped making the original GameBoy Advances when the SPs came out... And those halted when the Micros came out. That is just the one I'm knowledgeable about, but I'm sure it can be applied in many companies, Apple included, as just a fact of business. They're not all just thrown away... You can check out eBay and they're all selling... I'm talking about iPods too with that. Some people don't need to be top-of-the-line (like me) and will get the most reliable, non-pricey item that meets my needs.
Again- as popular as GreenPeace is... No one else has mentioned this without getting their info from them.
