I was able to get one of the stock demo terrains moved into TT from TGE with adding some of the demo files like storm, skies, and the high plains terrains.

I'm not exactly sure if this will go over but, I would like to give it a shot.
I also hope this is not some type of licensing issue either.

With all of the recent terrain additions, Triv, Crapblaster, Napalm, Chineseknife, Nuts, Roo, Dash, Racer, (and I beleive Monkeeman has 20 coming) (Holy crap!))

Here's what I was wondering? Could we take the stock TT data folder and have all of the main players add the TGE specific files and folders to each of their TT data folders?
This would give the modders a great deal more to choose from when creating their TT worlds. It would provide for an enormous amount of combinations of terrain textures. (I'm not asking to add outside shapes like buildings or huts, although the rocks and stuff would be nice.)
It appears to be pretty simple to do and we could set up the official mod pack with everything already set up, including instructions.
This way when players add the mod pack they will be good to go. Everybody would be the same. Then there would be the recent additions folder as Reagent currently has.

So what do you think?

Let's see what the rest of the community thinks. I was also thinking of making some custom textures and maybe bringing in some of the skilled modders to generate some as well.

Once we have a good amount of resources to wrk with we can loci it donw again so to speak.

Hey NAP!
What can you do differently with TGE after purchasing the license than with the demo, I wonder?
ck

Friday, February 11, 2005 at 5:44:30 AM

I have no idea. This is all done with the demo. I believe there is a licensing and distribution issue that the demo is limited to. Whereas the licensed version you can probably do what you like with it.
In other words to create a new game and sell it you would need to purchade the licensed version.

That's just my take but I'm no freakin lawyer.

Ummm, if it's alright with you can I keep working on my terrain I was almost done....
I understand if you don't want me too.

Tuesday, March 01, 2005 at 8:42:19 PM

What? Absoloutely keep on working on it. The more the better! I'd love to see it actually. What do you mean by kiwis?

I was up late tweaking some stuff in Modwizard and was actually having a lot of fun playing the bots. Should be a blast when others enter. This map has a good amount of land, but there are plenty of speed pads to get you from point A to point B. I will also be releasing the MP2 (mod_pack 2) within the next couple of days!

I was thinking what is a Siberian mod without the snow.

Looked through Max's emittter informationa and added some snow. Nothing special just copied right from Max. Haven't had atime to look into the settings and colors but it's working.
Here's a pic.
