Not to take any limelight away from Rx,as a few of you know, I have been waiting in the wings for this job and I finally passed the interview today!!! I have been in the furniture biz for my family for 6 years and was accepted to be a partner for a furniture manufacturers rep this morning!

What this means for me is much more income, weekends off (for the first time in years) and mostly more time with the wife and kids and a job I can probalbly retire with.

I have been very stressed about the whole situation and long last it is behind me! I am so relieved.

I firmly believe that things happen In threes. Do you? My three are: 1. Major Pain got a new job a few months ago. 2. Rx has his new job as a chemist and.... 3. Myself.
Thanks HillBillyMilitia for all your good wishes....THEY CAME TRUE FOR ME!!!

YEEEHAW!!!!! XD

I feel sorry for the monkey that you beat out for the job. Oh well, I guess it's government nanners for Bubbles a little while longer.

GJ KKB.

Like a midget at a urinal, I was going to have to be on my toes.

Invite a retard to a picnic and you'd better expect to get drool in the potato salad.

Good for you!

You don't have to let go of one rope before grabbing the other. But you'll have to let go of one if you want to swing forward.

Saturday, February 25, 2006 at 12:14:35 PM

Glad to see you future is more secure, good for you and yuor family. Congrats KKB!

Saturday, February 25, 2006 at 12:18:29 PM

Awsome, happy to hear.

I bet it was your leadership abilities that you learned from TT that helped land it.....

Now maybe you can get a better computer to play TT on. XD

Saturday, February 25, 2006 at 12:45:49 PM

Wow! I am so flattered with all your well wishes! :)

Rx, Squiddy and I want to know if you can help us create a permanently beer proof fabric for our sofas? Seems to be "beers all around" whenever he and I post back and forth... :P

Thanks again everyone, you don't know how relieved I am over all this. I will be on TT much less for the next few months until I get settled. After that who knows. I may just show up on weekends. We'll see.

Big yippee for KKB! That must be a relief.

Now if he can figure out a way to get TT on the computers in the stores... Hmmm...

Saturday, February 25, 2006 at 10:24:14 PM

Thanks Y'all for the kind words.... The hardest part about getting the job was telling my uncle and cousins that I was leaving with a very heavy heart on my part. Many tears shed today when I told them. They said I had to do the best for me and my family, and lo and behold my uncle who owns the store whereI am leaving, gave me his "blessing" to my new "boss". Such is life sometimes and it can be bittersweet........ :[

Somehow I always envisioned you retiring as the Fred Sanford of the Family Furniture Empire.

Now you're a Suit!

But, hey, my wife would like a new dinette set and side tables for the sofa. And I'd like to use my 40% TT discount coupon, which is old now but hasn't expired.

Don't spit baccy juice on the customer's showroom floor, hillbilly. Congrats.

Also, to the principled RX and Major Pain.

What that means for you is much more taxes!!!!!!!!!

Tally and Stinky can't wait.

@KKB
Congratulations! Couldn't happen to a nicer guy. You did the right thing. As the man of the house your primary responsibility is to take care of your family. You done good.

By the way, here's a tip for your new job:
When you're about to close a deal/sale but feel a little apprehensive about it or see potential danger ahead that could prevent you from closing the deal, don't hesitate to retreat alittle and wait for some help. Remember, only fools rush in... A lesson learned from Leroy on ThinkTanks. :)
