Cat here is a poem for you & all. I wrote this back in March and had it published but it goes good with this time of year. Hope you like it.
Life
Life--what is life? Does anyone know what life means,
Let alone how short it can be?
In a flash, there is a light; then life begins.
In a flash, darkness encircles us, then life ends.
We should all know that for some strange reason,
Most of us forget the second part.
Life--value your life; it's the only one you have,
The only chance you have,
Unless you're among the few who get a second chance at life.
Cherish the day, the hour, the minute, the second,
For it could be your last.
Life--we go through the day taking for granted
Our lives, our friends, most importantly, our loved ones.
Let everyone know each and every day how we feel,
How much we love and cherish them,
For it could be the last time, the last chance you may ever get.
We run through life not knowing why, not even knowing when.
Sooner or later though, we all have to face the end,
Hopefully with no regrets, no remorse.
Life--enjoy it for what it is.
