But not my cats.

Earlier today, reports began circulating across the globe that I have recently stated that Jews can go to heaven without being converted to Jesus Christ. This is categorically untrue.

Is anyone here a follower of this guy?

Oh man. Heard this one on the radio coming home from work.

Why can't the religious right just suck it up and tell it like they see it; "Hallowed be the ORI."

HELL no! (no pun intended) Who the heck IS this guy?
For those who still don't know, Tally is a Jew, and plans to keep it that way, and so am I.

I'm curious.

Do the Jews believe there are other ways to God other than staying true to the Mosaic Law, the prophets, the sacrifices, atonements, festivals and covenants of God?

Do the Muslims believe others can get to heaven without following the 5 pillars of the faith?

I think most major religions are pretty exclusive in their respective paths to heaven, that its their way or the low way. So for a Christian leader like Falwell to reiterate that Christians believe that everyone must be "born again" through faith in Jesus Christ in order to gain excess to heaven shouldn't be a suprise.

I think the "many paths to God" idea is more of a spiritual/new age line of thinking, but isn't really found in the major religions.

@ soulless
Yes:)
I'm surprised it hasn't been attacked by the same Falwell types. Perhaps it has, but there is little chance of me accidently navigating to those sites.
The story line parallels to "real" belief are eerily spot on.

"Do the Jews believe there are other ways to God other than staying true to the Mosaic Law, the prophets, the sacrifices, atonements, festivals and covenants of God?"
It's neither here nor there. Judaism does not really address other religions' philosophies, and it places no limitation on what they can or can not believe; I think it is written more along the lines of "ignore them." Judaism is not expansionist / judaism does not impose.
More when less rushed.
