I just got the new Matrix Ultimate Collection which includes all three movies and 10 total DVDs! It is awesome!
As I've been watching these movies (I only saw the first one, so it's been a thrill to watch parts two and now three), I couldn't help thinking how much the Matrix reminded me of our ThinkTanks world. I know this might sound strange and I admit it is, but stay with me here as I try to explain it. I am just saying that I get the same feelings and emotional experience while playing TT sometimes as I did while viewing the Matrix. There have been many Matrix-like moments in scrum (especially late night team scrum) where I felt like Neo, smoking and bleeding near death and being pursued by a bunch of agent smiths as I try desparately to reach the goal (i.e. The phonebooth to return to the ship) and everything suddenly switches into slow motion and even stops in freeze frame in mid-jump (thanks to severe lag!) and bam!!! I score! I mean, those moments happen all the time. I'l get the same feeling as I watch a teammate pull off a jaw-dropping move backwards thru a wall of defenders at the goal...again in slow-mo.....

In the end, I know it's just a silly looking cartoon tank game with no relation to the great Matrix trilogy. Still, I can't help deny the connection between the two for me. I don't know if anyone else ever felt that way.

Btw, I'm trying to make a TT movie (I have for 2 months now), and I'm working on a code that lags up the server for 3 seconds, and a camera script that would let me rotate my FOV a full 360 degrees for a full Matrix effect. Can anyone help me here?

unless I can make it myself, which I might do...

@DJ Marik
That sounds awesome. The man you need to speak to is Reagent X! He has made several incredible TT movies with cool effects already.
Maybe you can use his skills to help you get that Matrix look and feel. If he can't do it, then no one will.

@BlindCide & Bolo
LOL...you are too funny. Sadly, my warped mind doesn't need any artificial enhancements to come up with such strange things!
I have not taken any drugs in 15 years and haven't gotten drunk longer than that. I'm just high on life. Besides, I was just making an observation and sharing a "feeling" I had about the game after watching all three Matrix movies in a row. Do the same and then play some late late night games and I bet you feel the same things.

@ pai

Lol well I must say we HAVE bent many rules that really shouldnt have been abled 2 be broken with many scripts, but if you think about it this way, we are plugged into a program being run by a master computer and bravetree when playing TT, so I guess you could fix an analogy there lol

@scotty
Good point! I didn't think of that. Very true.

Hey, don't you use an alias called Agent Smith??? That's the main villain in the Matrix movies!
Maybe it's just a coincidence, but it is kind of strange, huh? Did you see any of the Matrix movies?
I have to say that the first one was the best (as is the case most of the time in sequels).

Hey Marik,

Hmmm. I actually think that could work! E-mail me and we can give it a test.
