Yes all you TST viewer noobs like myself....I have great news for you....!!!
EVER WANT TO KNOW HOW TO SHOOT PIX OF TANK SKIN, TREADS, BRAINS, AND JAR?
....NOT JUST THE TANK?
I had for months until tonight.....
Lonewolf has figured out the sequence of events, paths, and mounting of objects to load an entire brain, brainjar, and tank skin. For this example (Get full screen diagram
) we used the Light tank set up.
Couple rules of thumb:
ONE:
Make sure you close TST viewer, place the skin you want to test into the TT game directory files where they belong with proper names, LAUNCH TT all the way thru to the 3D tank screen, then CLOSE TT....EACH TIME YOU WANT TO SEE A DIFFERENT OR CHANGE ON A SKIN. If you do not CLOSE TST Viewer and if you do not LOAD the skin into TT game area, you will not see your updates or changes.
TWO:
You will not see any files (usually) unless you point your project directory to your local c:program files/Bravetree directory. Make sure you point at the root of the directory named ThinkTanks.
(*TIP— I have a couple extra full installs of the game ie: BraveTree (original), BraveTree_MODS, BraveTree_SKINS)...so make sure you point to the right version of TT, the version where you are testing your skins.
The screen shot by Lonewolf, and the Diagram overlay by me is pretty much self explainitory if you open both the diagram and your TST Viewer at the same time and follow the STEP BY STEP!
I cannot offer support in this app, I really only use it to shoot tanks once in a while, so please direct any support issues to Garage Games on the app, thanks.
Thank you so very much for your patience and perserverance. Job well done ol' chap!
I know my lights got better after getting the demo of the TST Viewer...only more good things to come!
