I currently use winmx.com to trade music files. However, I have been having a lot of probelms with them lately. Anyone who can recommend a good place to go?

^^ how did you know? :P Limewire = BEST FILE SHARER

Yep. I have like 2000 songs from there. I erase them from Limewire and transfer them to iTunes. It works very nicely if I do say so myself.

LimeWire is file sharing so basicly they are just useing that to get around the law so technicaly it is legal. It's mostly the same thing as downloading music for free illegaly off the internet.

Heh now ur in my area. FIle Sharing?? Please, LIMEWIRE sucks, I can't stand taht system! Ares which is the "gateway file sharer."(All the noob people to file sharing use that system, though you do have to pay to use it now, unless you have an old installer like me ;) ) I think that ares does suck quite a bit though, even though I used it at first :) Though if you do some looking, th best system that I find worth using is Edonkey.link

Try iTunes, that way you don't have to be a thief.

LGM

Some good stuff in the iTunes free downloads of the week!

And Apple encourages that behavior.

Theres nothing I could not find with BearShare. Give it a go.

The problem with iTunes is that they're missing a ton of stuff..they only have the really mainstream stuff most of the time, except with a few exceptions of course

Bearshare is like a worse version of Limewire..it is safer and more protected from viruses but ive tried using it and I couldnt find a lot of stuff

I agree with swat and crap here, bear is a good system, I do have Itunes though, just for organizing all the music I have,(heh If I started it right now, it would play for 6 days straight, heh) I don't purchase anything from there though, nonsense when you have a dowloading system :) ;)

Kazaa, Limewire, and Grokster all have spyware. The only file-sharing program I have found not to have any spyware is the incredible open-source Shareaza. I have been using it for quite a while, and it works very well, and it supports 4 networks, Gnutella1, Gnutella2, BitTorrent, and Edonkey2000. You can get it here.

Limewire installs spyware even if you uncheck the box!

Whoops, I added another and forgot to edit that. Thanks for reminding me.

That's why you download spyware scanner and removers :)

PLUS even if limewire has spyware or viruses just search on it "spyware remover key". That'll bring up programs with
the registration code that remove spyware. Man, I use limewire to get keys for pop up blockers, antivirus programs, and anti spyware programs.
