I don't know maybe it's just me.

Having to leave the server and jump back in to reset the game is a pain in the ass. Does anyone know of a way or command the will nuke all players (to provide full health to everyone) and reset the game clock to a full length time. This would be very usefull in leagues games one both teams are ready.

Just curious!

It's already in Dash's admin script.
ADMIN CODES (available after logging in as admin)
/nuke : kill all players, good for reset/game start

*Wish we had remembered that last night. :(

Yes, I know of the nuke, but does it actually reset the mission form the beginning? I don't think it does. I believe when everyone leaves a server the mission is stopped. The mission is the restarted when the first tank enters. If we just nuke without leaving the server we would lose the amount of time since the last game restart. There should be a /mission r or /game r or something like that.

Just my theory at this point.

...ahhh. Not that I know of. Would be a good idea for Art in his Looking for Scripting Ideas thread. He might be able to do it.

Just sent art an inquiry.

Art said to me awhile ago that messing with the clock would require the TGE source code. We don't have that.

But we have the ability to set the game to a specific desired length. Strange....

I think I tried once to reset the game duration (by entering the game duration command in the Terminal), but it didn't seem to take effect once a game was already underway.

Lets say that we just finish game 1 in TBML....game 2 starts and everyone is still there....why not use the /green and /blue codes for everyone to switch colors. Then when both captains say game on ITS ON!!!!!

The server tues night had no support for /green and /blue

Mayby he's wanting it for full games. So you could just turn the clock back to 15 minutes. So the game woud be a full game not a game of 14min and 34secs. If you would use green/blue changer the game wouldn't be a full game, is the games even full games right now? Also when you turn the time backwards it should also kill everybody on the field. So admin couldn't abuse it to make game last longer when team which he's in are losing.

You don't have to let go of one rope before grabbing the other. But you'll have to let go of one if you want to swing forward.

Yes, in addition it would be useful for the times when each team is actually prepared and ready to go. You can start the game now and not have to wait for the duration. Just a thought. It would be nice if the league servers had the team change code enabled so you don't have to log back in.

The code is found in the Torque Demo, in demo/server/game.cs. You do it by taking the line of code from the function about joining that has to do with resetting the clock. I'll say no more...
