So Bolo rubs you the wrong way too? Heh!
Lol... Not B.... But the three of them and their arrogance. None of the numerous previous champions of other tournaments ever behaved the way these guys have.
Every other championship team conducted themselves as champions and relinquished their crown when the next tournament started or when they lost, but not these three amigos of denial.
Agreed. Being a champ means acting like a champ and stepping down like a man, not just strutting around holding a dirty old trophy and shoving it in everyones faces.
Love the elegance in in how you say FU pai
Nice post pai.
Here is my proposal:
When tanky is settled in we will start scheduling matches. We will face all the teams we would have faced had we stayed in the tournament. Then we will face lc, ben, and dar again....
Of course then what will everyone bitch about??
Cant wait for this to start
B
The bus doesnt come back because you think you're entitled to it. Get on the bus. You missed the bus? Too bad.
No memphis....we wont be playing you.....tally's team will bury you guys
B
Too bad for all... Think about it... Let it rest...... ;)
I think the FU people to be champs
FU lost people to KSJ B)
Yes, we did lose, but at least we were on the bus.
Join with me in a metaphor if you will:
There are many riders on the bus, some of us sit in the back, some of us sit in the front, but in order to be carried along from point A to point B, one must have a ticket, and one must get on the bus.
The Champs had a ticket, indeed they had a front seat, but you see they were unable to get on. If you do not get on the bus, the bus will not stop, nor will it turn around or even look back.
This bus is bound for glory, not the glory of the past or the boasting of days gone by. Whoever gets off on the last stop of this ride, has all of the rights and privileges of being able to claim that they are the champs, neither new or old, but definitive.
Whoever wins, gets to do this you see, because they got on the bus.
Yes you guys where on the bus ! We need to bring drinks next time, after all you cannot get a DUI driving in TT. LOL
At least I hope not ! Hehe B)
Yeah, it's not like the NCAA winner's from last year get to keep the title until they decide to play again.
If the 2004 Champ team wants to play anyone 3 on 3 for kicks that's fine and dandy. But they will not be defending a title.
The chance to defend the title was waived.
It seems like the 2004 champ team wants to do a tour of the US instead of defend their title.. You know, they come into town and play a hodge podge of local celebrities in a kind of sad display of has been-isms. They paint their tanks in All American colors and become the Harlem Globe Trotters of sorts, but it's more like Donkey Basketball played by the visiting wash-ups versus the local volunteer fire department in a game for charity.
Then one day in the not so distant future, at the 2007 National ThinkTanks Tournament in Topeka Kansas, one of the 2004 champ team members will be there as he has been asked to throw in the first scrum to ceremoniously start the game. He does it and it puts a smile on his face until he returns to his seat and hears a little boy say "Daddy, who was that guy who threw in the scrum?"
"That was HankstaTanskta, one of the 2004 champ teams.... Pretty neat huh? " Dad asks.....
The kid shrugs... "Whatever... When are the REAL players going to start the game?"
;)
Instead of going out with a bang, they went out with a sigh.
Pffffffttt!

@Sniper and Memphis
Hilarious and excellent analogies!!! Right on target!!! Cracked me up... Get on the bus....lol and the harlem globetrotters!!!
Here's the deal. If the champs didn't quit and actually defended their title and repeated as champs, then their legend would have been solidified forever more in tt folklore!
As it is now, they've decided to live off the faint fumes of their ancient championship (in tt years) and it was a controversial title at that. It's always sad when a chance for potential greatness goes down in flames as it did this week when the artists formerly known as champs decided to throw the white flag and quit.
Sniper's NCAA analogy is really a great way to sum up what the former champs are trying to do. If this were the NCAA tournament (March Madness) and all of the 3 on 3 teams were college teams, then the champs would have you believe the following: They would enter the tourny and then before their first round match (against a number 16 seed no less!) they decide they don't have the time or desire to defend their title and quit! Not only that, they proclaim that none of the teams were worthy of playing them and that no matter who wins the title they would still remain the champs! Huh? Whatcha talkin' bout Willis?!!! Talk about the ego has landed!!!
No sir, as in any other tournament, you either play or go home. You can't win if you don't play. If you don't win then you are not the champions. Period.
Tink-tink-tink.... Tink-tink-tink-tink... Tink-tink-tink... There!! All done! All the nails are in the coffin!! Can we bury this ship of fools known as the so called CHAMPS!?! LOL ;)
There are no buses on the mountain the CHAMPS live on....
And the NCAA analogy is also full of shit
Sports teams almost always shift players around...no two teams are exact from year to year....
Unlike the CHAMPS....our team doesnt change...
We will share the title with the next round of champs.....unless they have the balls to face us...
Im waiting
(BTW tanky u deserve to be replaced but jangles and I are good teammates)
B
A graceful taunt is worth a thousand insults.
who are you anyway?
Bolo... I cant seem to understand your logic. What do you know about NCAA? They do not shift players around.. And if they cant play they lose, right? Oh well. I cant believe it has come to this.. If the players arent there for the tourney then they get booted, right? Nuf said...this is a waist of our breath ;)
Your team doesn't lose, but neither does it play.
Bolo just own up to the fact that you're done... Stop the embarrassment on your part and gracefully part ways for the new champs... If you put half the effort into showing up for games as you do for making appearances on the forums to complain then you would have no one lining up for "$1.00 kicks in the ass".
You have lost your right to be called scrum champ but you still hold your crown in "bitching" and "bitching out"
Thx for the nod there chong.. FU would accept the crown if we didnt get our asses handed to us :P
Wish I could have watched that
B
No secret the 3 fellows are pro tankers... But if you don't defend your title and hide away, what's the glory?
"...what's the glory?"
LOVE! It's the LOVE man!
{WalMart free for over 24 months!}
How the hell are we hiding??
Tanky is moving and cant play TT for a while
How is that hiding??
Any other lineup isnt the CHAMPS...we like our team the way it is
BTW if ho's team wins it all.....they know in their hearts they have a slim chance of beating the original CHAMPS...especially since multiple linups with those 3 players have been vested before...even one time was tally ho, reagant x, and majorpain...(mp has performed better in the tourney than has wolf)
I just wish to hell we could have played
Im rooting for RNG...i hope they take it home
B
Let's discuss this bologna load, shall we?
1. BTW if ho's team wins it all.....they know in their hearts they have a slim chance of beating the original CHAMPS...
- actually, we're quite confident we can kick your asses. Page me when tanky figures out where the computer plugs into the wall.
2. Especially since multiple linups with those 3 players have been vested before...
- Since rock beats scissor and scissor beats paper, rock beats paper? Bad logic only deserves bad analogies.
3. Even one time was tally ho, reagant x, and majorpain...
- This was eons ago, and I do believe we had 15 or 30 minutes of practice time playing together and it was clear to us BEFORE we played that we did not click.
4. (mp has performed better in the tourney than has wolf)
- How would you know, they got us on sportscenter? Did you buy those tickets?

Pissant itemizations are funny
At this point it is irrelevant who can beat who. The champs had their moment in the sun, but if they won't defend their title, they are no longer the champs. Whoever wins this tournament is the new champs. Period. It doesn't matter if you are better than the other team if you don't play. In any major sport, if you win the crown one year and sat out the next season, and then dropped out of the playoffs, do you really think you have the right to demand that the new champions beat you before they are crowned? Ludicrous. Of course we all understand you guys are sooo great and you think you are unbeatable, but as I understand, you have gone for a full year without any high level challenges. I hope the next champs treat you the same.
Demo
I know when we played, we only had 2 players (me & Sil) & Chief was out do to computer problems. The 2 of us played & got our A$$e$ handed to us big time. Thats why its TEAM play. If only 2 players show up, 2 players play..period.
So if I use Bolo logic, me,Sil, & Chief are still in....
Here is my proposal:
When tanky is settled in we will start scheduling matches. We will face all the teams we would have faced had we stayed in the tournament. Then we will face lc, ben, and dar again....
Moe
^ what he said.
By the way - Dell sucks.
Rogue + bolo = a dam good 2 on 2 team in any game...:)
B
OMG You're breaking up the team?
Aye...
MOE made a good point. When BC, Snipe and I played MP's team, appleyard left right as the game began saying he had to do homework. We all laughed it off as a joke but he really did leave for the first game! Being the professionals they are, Walrus and Major hung in and duked it out with us and lost. Then during game two appleyard returned and I got booted off for half the game. Game three similar problems. Did anyone bitch? Sure... But we did congratulate MOD and wished them well. MP would have accepted a loss in the same manner. Rules are rules, you gotta follow 'em kids!!! ;)
Omg
Niiiice
B
My two cents? Champs is still champs 'til they get beat. They may be avoiding challenges. They may be milking the glory years like a fat, 40 year-old, unemployed, former high-school quarterback. They may even be poor sports and pompous. But, until someone beats them and takes their belt, they sure as hell ain't going to hand it over (even if it don't fit around their growing waistlines anymore).

I do not want to be disrespectful to the former champs of 3 on 3 team scrum (Bolo, Jangles and HankstaTanksta). I just want to make something perfectly clear to the former champs and everyone else regarding the meaning of champion and the whole purpose of conducting tournaments. Ok, everyone agrees that they won the title (al though many debate over the manner in which they won the title), but now they are claiming that they will remain the champs until they are beaten and dethroned. Quite frankly, that is hogwash and absolutely delusional.
I will use the PsychoScrum league as the best example I can give that will make it crystal clear why the winner of this tournament will be the new champs. When they started this new season (psychoscrum 8.0), did they announce that last year's champs will remain champs until the winner of psychoscrum 8 or any other team beats them? NO!!! The answer is a big fat no! The winner of the new season is crowned the new champions...period! The same is true with the 3 on 3 team scrum tournament! The old champions are retired and put out to pasture (unless they found the time and the nads to play in the new tournament to defend their crown)! Put up or shut up! No whining or making excuses. You had your 15 minutes of fame and milked it into a full year. Hope you enjoyed it, but your reign is done! You're history...until you guys decide to play again and prove everyone wrong. That won't be until the next tournament.
So, please try to display some semblance of class and dignity (might be too late) and step down from the throne like men instead of being thrown out into the alley like three drunks in a bar after closing time. Accept the facts and learn to deal with being has beens...unless of course you want to come back and show us all that you guys still have game. Until then, don't spoil the memory of your legacy any more than you guys already have! Don't let this ugly exit (quitting and whining about still being the champs) be the last thing we all remember you guys for.
The kings are dead....rest in peace 2004 champs and long live the new 2005 champs!
