I think its interesting how the "slim line" sig is gaining in popularity. Is that a trend in other forums?
Meh, it's just that they come prefab as "user bars". I make my own to fit in (but the SOAD and Tool ones are premade).

Fireworks & Photoshop > Gimp
Meh! Gimp owns you all- don't diss it until you've tried the dev version. Besides, FW and PS are bloatware- Gimp runs light, and has an obscene number of filter effects. And it lets you script your own. Add in animation by layers or by using the GAP (Gimp Animation Package), and Gimp owns both of them!

No, he's just been rip/mix/burning too much surreal stuff... Silly me, Gimp doesn't have CMYK controls! This is a real reason for a sig-maker to shell out $600 to get a bloated, non-GNU app to just make signatures! MEH! :P
Just kidding. Gimp still kicks PSCS2's @$$. Still no animation, Adobe? Lamers.

I made my sig myself, no tutorials, no anything to start with, just from scratch in GIMP. I know it won't win any awards (lol), but it looks good for me.
How come sig's get cut off?

It has to be a certain size.
Pray to GOD for him to reveal himself to you.
^^ Sigs have to be 44 pixels in height or less. I don't believe anyone has tested width yet.
^^^ and ^: maximum width is 400.

Due to the recent updates, and some people asking for it, I decided to get track on a Signature Contest.
Everything will be explained below
Participants
- Due Date: 20th of August 2006 - - Date when you have to have your signature posted.
- Signatures should be made by yourself. - - You may not use signatures maid whit NOT! , or websites relating to it
- Signatures should fit the signature room for PTT. (400w * 40h)
- The Signature needs to have something to whit your (P)TT-name
