What should we do?
Take extraordinary measures to keep him alive?
He has so many problems. Does he have a living will?
What if he goes into a comma?
What if some one says that he said to them he doesn't want medical help to prolong his life.

A comma to a colon, that's the natural progression of life, until God uses that big Delete key in the sky.

I would be the pope just for these two things:

The hat
and the "popemobile"

I love that hat....

In doing a search for the pope's hat, I found a rather interesting link here which makes a rather strange claim of connection to paganism. Weird, but very possibly true.

@ Cat
Sorry this tread has degenerated so. Some people actually do care about this.

I agree that the lock is appropriate.

OK, you guys want to be serious about it, then I suggest taking a stab at trying to answer Cat's questions.
I personally don't see how any of the questions can be answered, or even speculated on. How could any of us know what will be done with him? I'm sure Catholicism and the papacy has very specific instructions on what should be done, should he fall into a coma, or has to be put on life support. Given the vatican's thoughts on the Terri Schiavo case, it's pretty clear they will do everything they can to keep him alive. As I understand it, there is a team of doctors with him round the clock, and I also heard he refused to go to the hospital despite his cardiovascular collapse.

Still, if he falls into a coma, they will have to do something . You can't have an unconscious pope, at least not for very long.
