Battle of Angincourt, 1415, the French proposed to cut off the middle finger of every captured English soldier.

This would make it impossible for the English to use the renowned english longbow.

The longbow was made of the English yew tree, and the act of drawing (that means shooting for you numbnuts) the longbow was known as, "plucking the yew." OR PLUCK YOU!

Since this was difficult to say the consonant cluster at the beginning was gradually changed to a ladiodental fictave ' f ' , and thus we now have the words often used in conjunction with the one finger salute.

It als referrs to the pheasant feathers used on the arrows w/ the longbow; that gesture was known as "GIVING THE BIRD."

I BELIEVE IT IS STILL FITTING TO USE TOWARDS THE FRENCH MYSELF LOL!!! XD ESPECIALLY IF THEY'RE TEACHERS!! %)

The french didn't run away in WWII spear... (he has hit a topic I know) They just where so bline to see that the german army could choose to not move I a straight line. They build a wall that was completely and totally impenetrable, exept they made it facing only one direction. The germans just chose the painfully obviouse choice to go around the wall. Since the guns didn't turn all the way around, the blistzcreig just went north, took over the forces and comincation in the back, and hi the french from behind. Rifles didn't do much against panzers... Now they are kinda yellow bellied today, but not back then Just kinda blind ;)

Pardon my rudeness, I cannot abide useless people.

Veyr redundant... I'd cut off the last quote if I were you.
*looks at thread title*
I wonder why it's so hard for you to understand... The main idea is that the middle finger originated from a 1415 battle...
