What do you think about the area effect code (/area) in team scrum? Personally, I don't like it at all. It totally destroys any ts game once everyone starts booming each other into oblivion! For example, I just played on Napalm's excellent ts server with 9 others players and it quickly became a joke as EVERYONE started using the area effect to bomb everything that moved! It turned what was a good competitive match into a farse.
I hope Napalm removes the code as well as any other admins. Shoot, I wish there were no boomies at all, just rely on pure shooting.

What do you think?

I agree. It's especially annoying when you inadvertently pick one up and get stuck with it.

The weaponschangers and tankchangers can be alot of fun
the kids love them but.....
Most vets and myself included do not like them in a "real" game
I am there for the competition and to learn new skills
Occasionally I run a special server for the lil ones
jump in a fly around as a ufo etc
but as a rule not in Realms or my ScruMods
my 2 cents
Roooooooooooooooooooooooooooooster

I hate the "/boss" code on some of the servers, please take out the public tank, team, and projectile, not the admin 'mk-' codes.

I have never been very good at using the powerups..... Wait, I have never been very good at shooting anything...
(nevermind)

All of the ammo codes were removed from my 7 minute rotation server this morning. The standard power up ammo changers are still present, but players can not change to the weapon of choice at will. Maybe that's why I didn’t really enjoy last night’s games. Felt kind of scrumless. Is that a word? Can we make it a word? TG, are you going to correct me if I use this regularly?

Ducks his head screaming "Please don't hit me!!!!"

I believe "Scrumless" should be hyphenated.

Scrum-less is more appropriate. Get it right next time or I WILL battlemode you in the next game.... (wait... Never mind)

What were they? I never even experienced them. Oh well, guess I need to get online and play more. Heh.

As a player you could type /area and immediately get an area effect weapon. I put up the server as a device to let people see the PS8 terrains with a 7 minute rotation. It appears people have taken a liking to but I never removed the player codes. After some of the guys expressing the discontent last night I removed those player options. Should make for a better, cleaner game.
