:)
It's a good thing us Super Smores have our smores to eat while stealing the scrum, else camping would get too easy. %)
Ok peeps hopefully a little more help with changing settings:
http://nutstank.googlepages.com/changingthepref.cs
NUTS, did you do that on purpose, 'cuz that's a riot (http://nut stank .google...)! Oh, and settings have been changed... Thanks!
And KKB, that's ok. When you come over we'll just start serving the cardboard-and-spackle smores pictured on the previous page: "You sound like a dog with hot spackle on the roof of your mouth!" ;)

Geogie porgie, nice to see the trash talk. Is the best you can do old man? %)
Good to see you in the league! :)
@Ge0rge
Kinda was one of those things that just worked out. I did debate the nuts.tank@gmail.com, but nutSTANK@gmail.com just seemed more honest....

^Is that nuts tank or nut stank? %)
@ Nuts if I'm not hosting do I still need to delete the pref.cs.dso file once I have changed the prefs.cs to the settings ?
Yes, deleting that prefs.cs.dso will "reset" the server/game to the new settings that you changed.
Whenever you change a prefs.cs file, you need to throw away the existing prefs.cs.dso file. When you start TT, a new prefs.cs.dso file is created based on your newly modified prefs.cs file. If you don't throw out the existing.dso file, the new settings will not take effect (and you may have to re-enter the changes into the prefs file again).
Good luck to you all!

Have a server up with a bunch of different maps with the visabilty turned down. Jump in try it out, let me know what maps you like and don't like.
'main Smore'? Did he just sez 'main Smore'? X/
Ye be grilled on Wednesday!
@Prey: thanks for the Smores' Anthem! You be our team Dj!
'We'll pitch the tent right here...'
Shall we skip the formalities and just take the prize pig home with us now? Or, do you guys really want to forge ahead?
No Dash, I'm not talking about your wife.
Like a midget at a urinal, I was going to have to be on my toes.
Invite a retard to a picnic and you'd better expect to get drool in the potato salad.
Tent pitched, Hugo!
Anyone have the sheet music for the Smores Anthem?
^ You stole my tent! XO
^^ Closer to the goal!
There has been an error. Sup I was referring to my manhood, not suggesting a team name. Please correct.
@ Rx : I'll update scoreboard and email it to you, as soon as all teamnames are in.
Ok only have about 50 more maps to check out. Curenlty have about 14 maps out of about 100. I have been trying to choose maps that haven't been included in years past or really overplayed. The way I look is that I have the visabilty turned down to about 325 and if I see the fog at the other end, to big (then you spend most your time driving). I drive around watch my FPS while playing if it hits blips around the goal, to much stuff. I tried removing extra stuff (like rocks, trees) it really didn'y make to much of a difference, unless I took it all out., then its not fun Currently I have a bunch of MonkeeMan, dash and roo maps. I am trying to find a nice mix of different size maps. Obviously the smaller maps are a little more intense. I know some like that and some don't, can't please everyone. I should hopefully be done in a day or two. If there are maps you would really like to include, email me.
@dash
My pony offer still stands......
Banner mailed...again :) hehehe
Other than basic quality issues, I think the only real necessary criterion has to be consistent scrum-drop-outa-soup factor. Sounds like the stank is on top of things :).
My motley crew of political debaters and scrum-heads shall be known as the "8-Ball Busters ". The team is relying on the ever-fickle Magic 8-Ball for luck in the freebie department....

Tonight we will have an informal pre-season game. All teams should plan on showing up and meeting. I know of two informal matchups so far: Super Smores vs. T-34's team, and Magenta's Magnetos vs. The Killer Minutiae. You can pick any map for tonight's game. The purpose of tonight is just to shake off the rust and to FEEL THE POWER of PSL once again.
I am e-mailing the league password to the captains now. All players, check your e-mail.
While PTT was down the Super Smores won the coveted PSL11 cup! Woot!
Now back to your regular programming...
HugoBrainz having flashbacks after brief visit to Garage games?

ALL PLAYERS NEED TO ADJUST YOUR TT SETTINGS!
After some considerable research, we feel that we have an opportunity to reduce lag in our games by adjusting the settings in your game/client/prefs.cs file. This needs to be done by all PSL11 players! In addition, all hosters need to make this change in the hosting application as well.
NUTS! Has provided a concise tutorial here . The whole thing will take you only a minute or two. E-mail us if you have questions!
Many thanks to NUTS!, Blind Cide & dash for all the work that went into this. These settings will allow data to be transferred faster, but only if all of us make the changes.

Official PSL 11 Team Rosters
Rules from PSLX here
These will be modified to prevent players from hosting and playing on the same machine, and will also include special hosting/server parameters.
We will not be using the averaging script this season, since it does not work equally on all operating systems (at this point in time).
***
This season will be 4 on 4. PSL is about playing with a large mass of talented friends on a regular basis. 3 on 3 is more exacting and is better for tourneys. Another benefit of 4 on 4 is it means we will need less hosters/servers each week. With a 4 on 4 season, we will need each team to have a roster of 6 players. We will have 7 teams of 6 players.
Here is the plan so far: We will have all new teams this season. We have a lot of new players this season, so it will be good to distribute folks evenly. Also I think it is fun to mixt it up and get to know some new people.
Concerning maps: We plan for this season to have a different map each week. All teams will play on the same map on a given week. This will simplify setting up servers, and will give us more flexibility to share sevrers. We will need to select about 12-14 appropriate maps. NUTS! Will be playing a large role in map selection and in server settings.
